The import of mobile phones into the country has witnessed a decrease of 8.85 percent during the first two months of the current financial year (2026-27) as compared to the corresponding months of last year.
Pakistan imported mobile phones worth US $ 274.129 million during July-August (2026-27) as compared to the imports of US $ 300.741 million during July-August (2025-26), according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Meanwhile, on a year-to-year basis, the import of mobile phones also decreased by 13.82 percent during the month of August 2026 when compared to the same month of last year.
The import of mobiles into the country during August 2026 was recorded at $133.695 million against the exports of $155.129 million in August 2025.
On a month-on-month basis, the imports of mobile phones witnessed a decrease of 4.80 percent during August 2026, as compared to the imports of US $140.434 million during July 2026, according to the data.
