ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information has responded to what it described as baseless allegations by the Afghan Taliban regime linking fighting in Nuristan to Pakistan, ARY News reported.
The ministry said the allegations linking the fighting in Nuristan to Pakistan are based on lies.
According to the ministry, the spokesperson for the Taliban government wants to divert attention from internal issues by making allegations against Pakistan.
The Ministry of Information said the Taliban’s statements are an attempt to divert attention from internal repression, differences and instability.
The ministry said the Afghan Taliban are running a non-inclusive and non-representative government and have imposed themselves on the people of Afghanistan through force and coercion.
It said blaming external forces for internal problems reflects the Taliban’s frustration.
The ministry said the Taliban’s statements against Pakistan reflect their failure to deal with their own problems.
It also accused the Afghan Taliban of turning a blind eye to what it described as their un-Islamic role in supporting terrorism.
The ministry alleged that the Afghan Taliban are working as proxies for a Hindutva agenda for the interests of a few leaders.
It said the Taliban’s approach of destabilising the region through proxies is taking them towards destruction.
The Ministry of Information said the Taliban’s conduct is devoid of dignity and maintained that truth will ultimately prevail over lies.
