QUETTA: Muhammad Dawood’s Computerized National Identity Card complaint was handled by NADRA under the Federal Ombudsman’s (FO) order, and his identity card was quickly reinstated.

Muhammad Dawood, the complainant, claimed that NADRA had blocked his identity card since 2015.

He had made multiple appearances before committees and visited the NADRA office in an attempt to have it restored, but his issue remained unanswered.

Consequently, in pursuit of justice, he approached the Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office in Quetta and filed a complaint against the relevant department, citing their negligence and the delays involved.

Upon receiving the complaint, the Federal Ombudsman (Quetta) promptly initiated an inquiry, summoned the concerned department, and held an immediate hearing of the case.

During the hearing, the department failed to provide a satisfactory explanation.

As a result, the Federal Ombudsman issued directives for the immediate restoration of the complainant’s blocked identity card.

The department immediately restored the complainant’s identity card in accordance with these directives.

The Federal Ombudsman was thanked by the complainant for his prompt and fair ruling.
