Amazon has dropped the Fire name for its latest tablets and is focusing on Alexa+. The Alexa Tablet 12 Pro has a slim metal body, flat frame, and a 12-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, giving it a premium mid-range look.
The IPS screen has a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of brightness. Inside, the tablet runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chip with eight ARM Cortex-A725 cores.
The fastest core can reach up to 3.25 GHz, while four slower cores focus on efficiency at up to 2.1 GHz. You can choose between 8 GB and 16 GB of RAM.
Weighing 555 grams, the tablet has a 9,000 mAh battery that should last for up to 16 hours of video playback. With a keyboard case that includes a trackpad, a pressure-sensitive stylus, and Android with full Google Play Store access, the tablet is designed to work as a laptop replacement.
Amazon says the Alexa+ AI assistant can handle complex requests. The tablet also features four speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, a 13 MP main camera, and an 8 MP front camera.
You can now pre-order the Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro directly from Amazon. The base model, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, costs $499. The top model, which has 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and an anti-glare display, is priced at $679. The keyboard case is $149.99, and the stylus costs $89.99.
