Rawalpindi: Sahibzada Farhan, the opening batsman for the national team, claims that his father once predicted that he would lead the squad as captain.

Sahibzada Farhan, in conversation with the media in Rawalpindi, remarked, saying, “I had never envisioned myself as a captain; when I did become one, I became convinced of the immense power of my parents’ prayers.”

He said that there is added pressure when serving as captain; he would strive to deliver his best performance for the country in that role and aim to set an example through his leadership.

Sahibzada Farhan stated that he is greatly impressed by former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed’s captaincy.

The T20 captain expressed optimism about both his individual and the team’s performance, stating that they must play better cricket with courage and that it is always a lot of fun to play in Rawalpindi.

He said he has complete faith in the players chosen for the current squad and that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are excellent players who can return at any time.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will start their three-match Twenty20 series on Friday; the second and third matches are scheduled for October 11 and October 13, respectively. Every game in the series will take place in Rawalpindi.
