The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has explained the procedure for obtaining a first Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for individuals who do not have a B-Form or birth certificate.
According to NADRA’s guidelines, individuals who have a birth certificate but have never obtained a B-Form can apply for a CNIC once they turn 18.
Applicants do not necessarily need to present the physical birth certificate, provided they know its registration number.
However, individuals who have neither a B-Form nor a birth certificate and are approaching NADRA for the first time will first be required to obtain a birth certificate before applying for their identity card.
