Getting regulatory approval is one of the last steps before a product is announced, so the new tablet could arrive soon. Still, Amazon has not officially confirmed any details yet.
Good eReader reports that the new tablet will use a MediaTek MT8189 chip, an octa-core ARM processor designed for efficient mid-range Chromebooks and Android tablets.
The new tablet will also double its memory, going from 4GB of RAM in the previous model to 8GB. This upgrade should help users run more apps at once without slowing down the device.
Amazon has not confirmed these details yet, but if they are accurate, the new model would offer a big performance improvement over the first-generation version from 2023.
The base storage might seem small compared to other devices, but having expandable storage should help keep the price reasonable.
