The trading session in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed lower on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, as the KSE-100 index dropped 1,690.40 points, or 0.96 percent, to close at 174,776.60, compared with 176,466.99 in the previous session.
According to the data released by PSX, during the trading session, the index traded between a high of 175,841.83 and a low of 174,562.88, before closing near the lower end of the day’s range.
During the trading session, 501 companies traded; out of these, 113 companies’ shares closed higher, compared with 356 that ended lower and 32 unchanged.
The market recorded 610.18 million shares in turnover, down from 784.47 million in the previous session.
Traded value also fell to about Rs. 31.86 billion, compared with Rs.37.41 billion previously.
Market capitalization stood at approximately Rs. 19.58 trillion, down from Rs.19.78 trillion in the previous session.
