RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Navy Ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK seized over 2,800 kg of narcotics worth approximately USD 750 million during a joint counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea, ARY News reported citing Inter-Service Public Relations.
As per the ISPR, While on routine patrol, the ships intercepted a suspicious boat and recovered narcotics from concealed compartments during a boarding operation.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, commended the officers and crew for their professionalism and vigilance, reaffirming Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime security and combating illicit trafficking at sea.
Yesterday, the security forces of Pakistan have eliminated 33 India-backed militants since September during operations against the “Fitna al-Khawarij” in Balochistan.
According to the media wing of the Pakistan Army, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), five militants were killed on 24 September 2026, during Operation Shaban.
So far, 22 Khawarij have been killed in Operation Shaban, ISPR said. The military said weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the militants’ hideouts.
In a separate intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Nushki on 25 September, 2026, security forces killed 11 militants and targeted their hideout effectively, ISPR said.
ISPR said clearance operations in the area would continue until the threat had been eliminated.
The military also said that operations against foreign-sponsored terrorism would continue.
