In a recent interview, 28-year-old actress Sydney Sweeney expressed her unwavering commitment to her childhood dream of becoming an actress.
Sweeney shared how she has worked tirelessly to achieve her goals and emphasised her determination to ignore the negativity and criticism surrounding her career. She also shared her motivation behind her acting.
Sydney Sweeney continues to focus on her work and drowns out the noise of criticism because she owes it to her childhood dream.
The Euphoria star detailed how her parents thought of her dream career as a child’s fancy, like “being a princess,” during her interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
However, the Anyone But You actress was determined and “put together a five-year business plan presentation when I was 10 years old,” adding that her presentation explained why she needed to audition and how she would become an actor.
It was still “a hard sell and took a few years,” Sweeney noted.
The passion for acting carries Sweeney through controversies and criticisms, including the major American Eagle backlash a few months back.
“I did a jean ad. I mean, the reaction definitely was a surprise, but I love jeans. All I wear are jeans. I’m literally in jeans and a T-shirt every day of my life,” she said in another recent interview with GQ.
