There is a total zero tolerance on recording, shooting videos and live streaming at all of the facilities of Kuwait International Airport as the airport has prohibited all the activities.
The zero-tolerance rule has come into effect at all facilities of Kuwait airport following Circular No. 60 of 2026 issued by the DGCA headed by Acting Director General Engineer Saad Al-Otaibi.
The emergency ban extends to all areas of Kuwait International Airport, in order to safeguard its smooth operation. As outlined in the first article of the circular, the limitations apply to passenger terminals, administrative buildings, technical facilities, and other spaces utilized by the aviation authority.
The order also explicitly prohibits video footage of security inspection points, surveillance cameras, aircraft activity, or operational procedures within any of these spaces. It also prohibit taking pictures of any confidential inhouse documents, administrative communication, or security procedures.
Civil aviation officials said the strict procedures are necessary due to the airport being a strategic sensitive national facility.
The regulation is also intended to enhance the privacy of airport staff and travelers, facilitate procedures on a day-to-day basis and address security concerns in the context of safety.
Any person or agency failing to abide by these instructions, in accordance with Article Two of the circular, would be prosecuted immediately and subjected to punishments, disciplinary actions and other measures stipulated in accordance with state regulation, including civil service law and, in Kuwait, Civil Aviation Law.
This decree is effective as of the date of its issuance, with full discretion applied across all entities and institutions functioning in the airport.
